Investments in gold bullion

During one of the lectures at my university, we were listening to one of the Professors who was describing the situation on gold bullion market. Recently, this topic has become more and more popular so actually we can find out a lot about it from the media. He repeated the same statement we had already heard on TV. Namely, he told us that investments in gold bullion were becoming more and more popular. First, the situation was dramatic but suddenly investors came back to gold bullion and started their investments. Now the situation is unique. We have not had such a positive gold market situation for a long time. He explained to us that gold bullion is much more stable than other forms of investments so there was nothing strange that gold bullion gained on popularity. The second thing he mentioned was that dollar was weakening and gold bullion prices are in dollar so it became less expensive. When I asked him a question where I could buy gold bullion, he told me that it is available in a bank, at a jewellers or on the Internet. I must say I was surprised because I thought that kind of transaction had to be very secure and I did not associate the Internet with something secure. He confirmed that the Internet is one of the many sources where those who are interested could purchase gold bullion. The lecture lasted over an hour.
